In early May 2012 new inventor Bryan, took his invention, Twist and Seal, to Las Vegas, Nevada for the National Hardware Show. This was a first time experience for all the members of the Twist and Seal team, even for Bryan a home builder for many years. Nobody knew what to expect really. Needless to say the team was enveloped into a world of hardware they never knew existed.
The team packed everything up in their own vehicles and began the 1,800 mile journey from Chicago to Las Vegas. As Bryan refers to it, they looked like the Beverly Hillbillies cruising half way across the U.S. They did their own set up and tear down and over the week had over 450+ industry professionals stop and register at their booth to receive more information about the product. Also the team spoke with over 600+ Hardware Show guests, which varied from Senior buyers for large corporations to hardware enthusiasts from all over the world.
Those big time corporations who were in attendance varied from the likes of Wal-Mart, Ace Hardware, Do It Best Hardware, The Home Depot, as well as countless others in attendance took notice of Twist and Seal. Twist and Seal offered these companies a new product that everyone can use whether it be for residential use hanging Christmas Lights, to pool company’s for above ground pool filters, to landscape companies, to being used on construction sites, no job is out of reach for Twist and Seal.
What most people liked about Twist and Seal is that 1. It is an all American-made product, 2. It has been tested time and time again by industry leaders in safety standards as well as countless ongoing test conducted here at Twist and Seal’s Headquarters. Twist and Seal has been N.E.M.A. (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) tested and has met all their standards. Testing including shooting powerful water cannons at the Twist and Seal with a live electrical connection, as well as rain, snow, and sleet tests. Twist and Seal met or exceeded all N.E.M.A. standards for part 250-3R. Since even before the show we have had a Twist and Seal in a rain tank, with a live electrical current, running day and night (over 7000 continuous hours) pouring gallons and gallons of water onto the Twist and Seal and still to this day the lights are still on.
Much to the surprise of the members on team twist and Seal they were selected as recipient of the “Most Innovative Product of the Year Award“. During the show judges were casually walking to and from every booth rating and scoring each product on display. The judges are made up of senior buyers for the largest hardware company’s and distribution center VP’s . They liked Twist and Seal so much they chose it as recipient of one of the most prestigious awards in the hardware community. Not too shabby for some first timers.
Less than a year later and Twist and Seal is in Canada, the United States, as well as Mexico. Some retailers that now carry Twist and Seal are Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Home Depot, Do It Best Hardware, Ace Hardware, and Alsip Home and Nursery.
